This Trick is all about Christmas at Gaylord Palms!
Details:
Christmas at Gaylord Palms Resort runs from November 13, 2020 through January 3, 2021 and offers more than 15 festive activities for guests to enjoy! Live performances, character breakfast, gingerbread decorating, crafting and even meeting Santa are just a few of these festive activities! For almost 20 years, Gaylord Palms has become legendary for providing magical holiday events and activities for winter visitors to experience and this year is no exception! Christmas at Gaylord Palms has been redesigned to deliver the same, magical holiday experience while integrating new and enhanced health and safety measures, so that guests can celebrate the merriment of the season in a safe environment. ICE will return in 2021 to Gaylord Palms.
New this year is “I Love Christmas Movies“, an immersive, walk through experience featuring scenes from five Christmas films. This interactive experience was developed in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and allows guests to step into the movies they know and love including: The Polar Express, A Christmas Story, Elf, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and The Year Without a Santa Claus. Another new experience is the Snow Factory with ice tubing and an interactive snowball area!
Live Performances on the St. Augustine Stage include the dazzling Cirque Dreams Unwrapped and The Greatest Story, a musical journey celebrating the story of Christ. There is an incredible light show in the St. Augustine Atrium sky that brings the fun of decorating the Christmas Tree to life! Guests can also meet Santa Claus, watch Mrs. Claus’ Christmas Traditions, build gingerbread houses and build toys all in the Alpine Village.
A holiday scavenger hunt takes guests throughout the entire resort looking for the Grinch! The Grinch’s Wonderful Awful Idea Scavenger Hunt ends with an adorable prize as well. Booklets are available for $11.99. Guests can eat a fun and festive breakfast with the Grinch at The Grinch’s Character Breakfast at Villa de Flora.
Tricks:
Get to Snow Flow Mountain early to take advantage of ice tubing all day long! Face Masks are required in all public areas including photos with Santa. To allow for social distancing they are limiting capacity for all ticketed events and advance online reservations are required. Click HERE to make your reservations!
Thoughts:
We had the most incredible time at Gaylord Palms! I absolutely recommend all of their holiday activities to get in the mood for the holiday season! We stayed in an atrium view room and I absolutely recommend doing that! The view is stunning and you can watch the #LIT Light Show from your balcony! SO incredible!
