Tricks for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2019

Hello Disney Tricksters,

This Trick is all about how to have the best time at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2019!

Details:

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event held at Magic Kingdom on select nights August 16th – November 1st. The Party starts at 7 PM and ends at Midnight but you are able to get into the park at 4 PM to enjoy the park early! Tickets are already on sale here or you can call 407-WDISNEY (934-7639).

Dates:

August: 16, 20, 23, 27, 30

September: 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, and 29

October: 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28 and 31

November: 1

Ride and Fastpass Information:

Fastpass plus is NOT available during the party but the crowds are pretty limited and the longest the ride lines typically get are about 30 minutes so they aren’t necessary. Wristbands are handed out so be sure to snag one as you walk into the park or outside of Mickey’s Philharmagic/Guest Relations Window at Liberty Square/Inside the Chamber of Commerce Building on Main Street.

Frontierland: Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain

Adventureland: Magic Carpets, Pirates of the Caribbean, Swiss Family Treehouse

Fantasyland: Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train, Regal Carousel, Small World, Peter Pan’s Flight, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mad Tea Party, Under the Sea, Dumbo, The Barnstormer, Princess Fairytale Hall

Tomorrowland: Astro Orbitor, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, TTA

Liberty Square: Haunted Mansion

Treat Information:

There are a ton of spots to trick or treat and they are detailed on the event map so be sure to grab one as you walk in! Disney also hands out free treat bags so you can bring your own or use one of theirs. There are allergy friendly treat locations that allow guests with allergies to collect tokens at the Trick or Treat spots and redeem for allergy friendly treats.

Boo to You Parade:

The parade is held twice at 9:15 PM and 11:15 PM. Frontierland is the best spot to watch the parade as that is where the parade route begins. Be sure to show up early to watch the Headless Horseman come through the route before the parade!

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular:

The Sanderson Sisters are back and using their powers to throw an incredible Halloween bash! The show occurs at 8:30 PM, 10:45 PM and Midnight in August and September. But, in October, show times are 8 PM, 8:35 PM, 10:45 PM and Midnight.

New Fireworks Show:

Hallowishes used to debut at 10:15 PM but there is a New Fireworks Show occurring this year so I will update this section as more details are revealed.

New Cruella’s Halloween Hide-A-Way:

Taking place at Tony’s Town Square this new event allows guests to come and go while dining on sweet and savory treats, unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and a place to hang out from 9PM to 12:30 AM which is after the closing of MNSSHP! Seats at a special reserved Parade watch area are also included in the $99/person price.

Dance Parties:

The Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball Dance Party takes place near Space Mountain at the Tomorrowland Stage from 7 PM to Midnight with Mike Wazowski and Sulley. This is a DO NOT MISS fun time in my opinion!

The Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam takes place near Storybook Circus with Doc McStuffins and other fun Disney Junior characters from 7 PM to Midnight.

Costumes:

For costume rules check out Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Costume FAQ.

Party Specific Meet and Greets:

Liberty Square: Jack Skellington and Sally, The Gravediggers (near Liberty Square Riverboat)

Fantasyland: Anastasia and Drizella, Cruella DeVil, Donald and Daisy, Alice and Mad Hatter, Ariel and Eric, Pooh Tigger Eeyore Piglet, Queen of Hearts and Tweedle Dee/Tweedle Dum (near Mad Tea Party), Seven Dwarfs (inside Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus)

Tomorrowland: Elvis Stitch (Stitch’s Great Escape), Lots-o-Huggin’ Bear

Pricing:

Advance purchase prices go as low as $79 for adults and $74 for children and as high as $115 for adults and $110 for children. Same day prices are as low as $89 for adults and $75 for children and as high as $125 for adults and $129 for children. Check out the dates for different pricing, of course the dates in October are more expensive than the dates in August.

Tricks:

The least crowded parties are the August and September parties. The Tuesday parties are also typically less crowded than the weekend parties. I typically spend from 4 to 7 PM eating dinner and riding some rides. Then, at 7 PM, I head straight to the shops to buy party exclusive merchandise! After that, I like to ride more rides/trick or treat/dance party/character meet n greets. I like to watch the fireworks from the front of the park at 10:15 and head to the Hocus Pocus show at 10:45 before the last parade. I typically go to the last parade (11 PM) and sit on Main Street so I can see the Dance Party that happens before the parade there! After the last parade, I try to see as many characters as I can as the lines are typically shorter and then go home and sort through all of the candy!

Thoughts:

I absolutely love Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party and highly recommend attending! It is worth the price and allows guests an exciting time to explore a Halloween-themed park with lower capacity. I will be attending the first party of the year on August 16th. Share your thoughts on the Halloween Party in the comments!††

Me as Cruella de Vil with Keat as Lucky having a blast at MNSSHP last year!
